Reviews of Blacklands Farm This campsite is quite reasonably priced in our view and has basic facilities such as showers (4 ladies, 2 mens), washing up sinks (6 with hot water in upper field, 4 with cold only in lower field) and lots of toilets in various different blocks (all in … We love that there is a large field with hook ups and a fantastic play area so we can sit back and watch the liitle ones play while we relax .Sometimes we pitch on one of the many bottom fields that overlook a stunning lake so the children and adults can fish for a small charge . The kids did run abit wild but again a little expected on a camp site. The campsite is large and spacious. Quite a lot of the time I didn't know where ours were, either in a playground, in a ditch, playing on rope swings or in someone's paddling pool. I was met by chris he showed me down to the lakes and with the paperwork out the way he gave a really good run down of the lakes including dipping of nets his knowledge is great .not long after i was set up fishing i had 6 fish out Friday then seven Saturday all the fish were in great condition its a really nice place its clean, the swims are marked out, it also felt safe doing an overnight , the bailiff ,chris would pass by to see how things were going as he placed other anglers you can tell he enjoys fishing and what he is doing at blacklands this is a fishery that has got it right i enjoyed my stay there i will be returning to very soon big thank you to chris keep up the good work thanks simon. Staff around were friendly and helpful and it was reassuring to get the impression they knew what was going on around the site.If you want to cook on their firepit, you need to bring on a standing grill of your own.I expect we'll be back. There are different fields, ours close to the massive children's playground, others beyond a row of trees near the fishing lake and another quieter one beyond the trees and over a hedge. We didn't and were very glad. Site has a great shop tho and a very friendly vibe. Keep abreast of the latest news and updates much more easily. In normal times I can’t believe people would be allowed to check in so early - not really fair on those already staying (and pretty cheapskate - stay the night before!). On site shop is stocked well. Blacklands Farm is a friendly family campsite ideal if you have children as they offer a play park, fishing and woodland... been coming here for five years. It was within easy walking distance of two local child friendly pubs to eat a too.. We certainly had a brilliant time and will definitely be back!! Good toilet and shower facilities. Lovely to see a lot of freerange children (like back in my days as a lad nostalgia). On our first night as we got into the tent, I will admit we were being a little bit noisy. We have been visiting Blacklands Farm for a few years now and come several times in the summer , the Starff are just fantastic , friendly and so helpful and always remember us . The booking system is wonderful ,fast simple with no deposit needed so if the weather turns there is no problem if you need to cancel and the campsite has everything you need and more!
