Side B sounds 100x better. Very nice dynamic pressing, better than the first badabing issue, that's right. I think (like most modern records) both pressings are hit or miss regarding the quality of the pressing, and that has more to do with quality control on the plant’s front. I had the same crackling/surface noise as many of you but a second cleaning worked wonders and now, the disc is very quiet and sounds excellent to me. Yes the first track is clicky, annoying, but the background is black. Seems like a temperamental pressing. I have had this version for about 6 months now, listened to it about once a month and am quite happy with it. I must have lucked out since I just received this from Amazon USA. I am not experiencing any excessive noise, just wonderful music. I ordered this and the European release to compare and they are nearly identical (first 4 seconds of Taphead not being on the UK release). Overall, flawed but don’t count it out unless you can’t abide by having any clicks. Might exchange it back at the shop. So much better than the 2016 US Polydor reissue which was not good.
